Formal receipt and opening of tender submissions

Orange City Council, on behalf of NetWaste, is seeking tenders from appropriately skilled and experienced contractors for the collection and recycling of used motor oil.

NetWaste is a collaborative regional waste group formed for the purpose of managing waste issues throughout the Central & Western regions of New South Wales.

NetWaste is coordinating the regional tender and contract negotiation process on behalf of the 23 participating Councils, with Orange City Council acting as the coordinating Council and NetWaste’s Representative.

The objectives of the collection and recycling of used motor oil are to:

  • Increase recovery rate of used motor oil from within the NetWaste region.
  • Provide a collaborative approach to collection of used motor oil through recovery and recycling.
  • Provide a cost effective, efficient and quality service to 23 NetWaste participating Councils.
  • Encourage the recovery and recycling of valued components of the used motor oil and diversion of waste from landfill.

The NetWaste region covers a total area of over 320,000 square kilometres and supports a population of over 280,000 people.
